Seasoning Mixture
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melts down to help bind the mix.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat smoker to 225°F with indirect heat and add several chunks of lighter flavored wood like apple or pecan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients until well combined. Transfer to a deep baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cooking
  1. Pour half of the butter mixture over the snack mix; gently stir until well combined. Repeat with the remaining butter mixture.
  2. Place the pan on the smoker for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Serving
  1. Remove Chex mix from smoker and let cool before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
