Preparation
- Preheat smoker to 225°F with indirect heat and add several chunks of lighter flavored wood like apple or pecan.
- In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients until well combined. Transfer to a deep baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cooking
- Pour half of the butter mixture over the snack mix; gently stir until well combined. Repeat with the remaining butter mixture.
- Place the pan on the smoker for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Serving
- Remove Chex mix from smoker and let cool before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
Notes
Experiment with different types of wood for smoking and adjust seasonings to your taste. Keeps well when stored properly in an airtight container.
