Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 apples 2 apples (thinly sliced) — A combination of Granny Smith for tartness and Honeycrisp for sweetness adds depth. Feel free to substitute with any of your favorite varieties.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or Skyr — Provides a creamy base. Opt for coconut yogurt for a non-dairy twist.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup peanut butter (melted for 20-30 seconds so it pours easily) — Infuses a rich, nutty flavor. Almond butter works as a delicious alternative.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup caramel sauce or pure maple syrup — Adds that sweet, gooey goodness. Adjust the amount according to your preference.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips — Brings in a delightful chocolatey touch. Dark chocolate chips can offer a richer flavor.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped peanuts — For some crunch and earthiness. Sunflower seeds can work if you’re nut-free.
  • 1 medium apple 1 medium apple (diced) — Adds more texture and sweetness. Just ensure it’s a variety you enjoy.
  • 24 ounces 24 ounces Greek yogurt or Skyr (to serve multiple) — Keep the portion generous for sharing. Feel free to use non-dairy yogurt as well.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by layering your sliced and diced apples in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt (or Skyr) and peanut butter until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the caramel sauce (or maple syrup) and continue mixing until the ingredients come together for a smooth, rich dressing.
  4. Next, pour the dressing over the apples, adding in the mini chocolate chips and chopped peanuts.
  5. Toss gently until every slice is coated beautifully in this creamy concoction.
  6. Serve immediately, or chill for 30 minutes to let the flavors marry.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, add the peanuts just before serving—this prevents them from becoming soft. If you want to impress, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top right before serving.
