Phase 1 – Prep

- Add the active sourdough starter and water, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.

- Lightly oil the bowl, place the dough inside, and cover with a damp cloth.
- Let it rise in a warm area for 4-8 hours, or until doubled in size.
Phase 2 – Cook
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Gently deflate the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf into a greased bread pan.
- Cover the loaf again and let it rise for an additional hour.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Phase 3 – Serve
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve as desired!
