  • 1 lb frozen edamame Can substitute with fresh edamame for taste.
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce Soy sauce mixed with a pinch of sugar can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Can replace with garlic powder if necessary.
  • few dashes togarashi Chili flakes can be used for heat if togarashi is unavailable.

Method
 

Cooking the Edamame
  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. Add the edamame and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Drain the water using a colander and remove the edamame.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. While the edamame is cooking, combine the hoisin sauce and minced garlic in a small bowl.
Combining and Serving
  1. Place the cooked edamame in a serving bowl.
  2. Pour the hoisin sauce mixture over the edamame and toss gently to coat.
  3. Top with a few dashes of togarashi according to your taste preference.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!
