Vegetables
  • 1 piece red bell pepper Adds sweetness and color; yellow or orange peppers work too.

Cooking Essentials
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used for cooking; avocado oil is another healthy choice.
  • 1 tablespoon fajita seasoning Store-bought or homemade; taco seasoning can also work if needed.
  • 1 cup beef broth Gives moisture; use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Provides creaminess; half-and-half or coconut cream can be a lighter alternative.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Cooking the Steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced steak and season with salt, pepper, and fajita seasoning. Cook until browned and cooked through; remove from skillet and set aside.
Cooking the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Return the steak to the skillet with the vegetables.
  2. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  4. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta and using low-quality meat. Marinate the steak for added flavor and serve with a squeeze of lime for an extra kick.
