Method
Preparation
- Begin by mincing the garlic and grating the ginger.
- Chop the green onions and measure out all necessary ingredients to ensure a smooth cooking process.
Cooking the Chicken
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until well-coated for a lovely crispy exterior when cooked.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the chicken to the hot oil and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Making the Sauce
- Pour the soy sauce and honey over the cooked chicken, then sprinkle in the red chili flakes if using. Stir well to combine.
- Allow the sauce to become a sticky glaze.
Cooking the Noodles
- In a separate pot, boil the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse them under cold water to keep them from sticking together.
Combining and Serving
- Once the noodles are cooked and drained, add them to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are well-coated.
- Finish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve the Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles hot, garnished with additional green onions.
