Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • 1/2 cup Hoisin Sauce Can try using a low-sodium version for a healthier take.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh cloves are best, but garlic powder will do in a pinch.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Fresh ginger offers warmth and zing; use ground ginger if fresh isn’t available.
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Use tamari for gluten-free options.
  • 2 scallions Green Onions Can replace with chives for a milder flavor.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Lower the heat and add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add hoisin sauce and soy sauce, stirring to coat the beef evenly; cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve the Sticky Hoisin Beef over rice or alongside a salad. Add sesame seeds for extra crunch, or drizzle with sriracha for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
