Filling Ingredients
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened Use room temperature for easier spreading.
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, sliced Can use frozen but thaw and drain them.
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar For sprinkling over strawberries.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to proof for about 5-10 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour and salt, then create a well in the center.
  5. Add the proofed yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs into the well, mixing until a dough forms.
Cooking
  1. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  2. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Once risen, roll the dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  4. Spread softened cream cheese and a layer of sliced strawberries over the rolled-out dough.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar evenly on top of the fruit layer.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into even pieces.
  7. Place the sliced rolls into the greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and let cool slightly.
  2. Serve warm, drizzled with a simple glaze or topped with more fresh strawberries.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and ensure fresh yeast. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
