Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Use ripe, juicy berries for maximum flavor; may substitute with mixed berries.
  • 1 cup Vanilla Greek yogurt For creaminess and flavor; plain yogurt works too, just add a dash of vanilla.
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup Adds natural sweetness; honey or agave syrup can be used as substitutes.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances flavor; optional but recommended for depth.
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Preferably dark chocolate for a richer taste; can substitute with dairy-free chocolate for a vegan version.
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil Helps the chocolate melt smoothly; can replace with any neutral oil or omit.
  • 1 pinch Flaky sea salt Creates a delightful contrast; feel free to skip or use coarse kosher salt if unavailable.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by chopping fresh strawberries and mix them into the yogurt, along with maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  2. Line a 9x13 inch baking sheet with parchment paper. Dollop the yogurt mixture onto the pan, keeping a round shape if possible.
  3. Place the prepared yogurt bites in the freezer for about 1 hour to firm them up.
Chocolate Coating
  1. While the yogurt bites chill, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave. Heat for about 45 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
  2. When ready, use a fork to lift each yogurt bite, dip it in the melted chocolate, and remove it quickly, one at a time. Immediately sprinkle with flaky salt before the chocolate sets.
  3. Repeat this process until all yogurt bites are coated, then return them to the freezer for an additional 30 minutes.
Serving
  1. Enjoy these bites frozen or let them thaw for a few minutes before savoring; both ways are absolutely delicious!
