Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Let the butter sit at room temperature for about an hour for perfect softening. Experiment with different berries or citrus zest for added flavor. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for an even batter.
