Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter with water until well combined.
- Add the flour and salt, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let the dough rise for another 30–60 minutes until visibly puffy.
- Using a sharp knife, score the top of the dough for better baking.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is a deep golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
Serving
- Allow the bread to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, slice the bread to serve.
- Enjoy with butter, cream cheese, or your favorite spread!
