  • 1 cup Sourdough starter Active sourdough starter for fermentation and flavor
  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour For structure and chewiness
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries, chopped For sweetness and moisture
  • 1 cup Water Needed to combine with the sourdough starter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To enhance flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter with water until well combined.
  2. Add the flour and salt, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
  4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Let the dough rise for another 30–60 minutes until visibly puffy.
  4. Using a sharp knife, score the top of the dough for better baking.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is a deep golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
Serving
  1. Allow the bread to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Once cooled, slice the bread to serve.
  3. Enjoy with butter, cream cheese, or your favorite spread!

For best results, ensure your sourdough starter is active. Use fresh strawberries for optimal flavor and moisture.
