Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey Lean protein that cooks quickly; substitute with ground chicken or beef if desired.
  • 3 cups Broccoli Florets Adds crunch and nutrition; frozen broccoli works too for convenience.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing; vegetable oil can substitute for a different flavor.
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce Brings a salty umami flavor; use tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Sweetens and balances the dish; maple syrup is a vegan alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Adds a spicy kick; replace with your favorite hot sauce or omit for a milder meal.
  • 2 cups Rice or Quinoa Serves as a base; substitute with cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the Rice or Quinoa according to package directions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Add ground turkey to the hot skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and sriracha until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce over the turkey and broccoli mixture in the skillet. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld together.
  6. Scoop the turkey and broccoli mixture over servings of rice or quinoa. Enjoy your flavorful meal!

Notes

Overcooking the broccoli can lead to mushiness—aim for a tender yet crisp texture. Double the sauce if you love extra flavor! Use a meat thermometer to ensure your turkey is fully cooked (should reach 165°F).
