Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and any additional vegetables; season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
- Arrange the frozen Tater Tots on top of the mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the Tater Tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the Tater Tots are golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, straight from the oven, with a side salad or crusty bread. Tater Tot Casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. It also freezes well for up to 2-3 months.
