Method
Marinating
- Whisk all marinade ingredients together in an 8-10 cup glass container with a lid until well combined.
- Place chicken in the marinade and turn to coat evenly. Secure the lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 24 hours, flipping the chicken halfway through.
- Remove from the refrigerator 1 hour before cooking, allowing it to sit at room temperature.
Cooking
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Coat a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray or oil.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in the dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes, basting with sauce every 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Alternatively, grill the chicken over medium heat, brushing with sauce every 5 minutes.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add chili flakes. Use leftover marinade as a dipping sauce after boiling it for safety. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
