Preparation
- In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Let proof for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Incorporate eggs, remaining sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter into the yeast mixture. Mix well until combined.
- Mix in flour and salt until fully incorporated, then switch to the dough hook and knead for 6 minutes until the dough is elastic.
- Spray a bowl with nonstick spray, place the dough inside, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 90 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Once doubled, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle shape.
- Cut the dough into about 40 pieces and place them on greased baking sheets to allow them to rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden, brushing the tops with melted butter afterward.
- Mix softened butter, confectioners sugar, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
- Serve warm with the cinnamon honey butter for spreading.
Notes
For best results, ensure yeast is fresh and warm milk isn't too hot when activating. Enjoy rolls fresh for the best taste and texture.
