Fresh Ingredients
  • 1 Cucumber (grated) Adds freshness; must be drained of excess water for texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill (chopped) Offers a vibrant herbal note; fresh or dried can work.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Cover the bowl and let it rest in the fridge for at least 4-5 hours, preferably overnight.
Cucumber Preparation
  1. Grate the cucumber using a cheese grater or food processor and place it in a clean muslin or cheesecloth. Squeeze out all the water to ensure a thick sauce.
Final Mixing
  1. Add the drained cucumber and chopped fresh dill to the yogurt mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  2. Serve chilled alongside your favorite grilled meats, veggie sticks, or pita chips.

Notes

Use a microplane for finely grating garlic. For a thicker sauce, consider using labneh instead of Greek yogurt. Experiment with spices like cumin or smoked paprika for different flavor profiles.
