  • 1/4 cup olive oil Acts as the base; substitute with avocado oil for a different flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Brightens the sauce; lemon juice can be used if limes aren’t available.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor; adjust according to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper Adds a hint of heat; can be omitted for milder preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender or food processor, combine cilantro, garlic, olive oil, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pulse the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency, scraping down the sides as necessary. This should take about 30 seconds.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more salt, pepper, or lime juice to suit your preference.
  4. Either enjoy immediately drizzled over your dish or transfer it to an airtight container for storage.
