  • 1 large egg Binds the filling for stability.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Enhances the creaminess of the filling.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Rich flavor and moisture.
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs For garnish, use herbs like thyme or basil.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and place it into a tart pan, shaping it to fit.
  3. Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
Cooking
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  2. Arrange the sliced zucchini evenly on top of the baked pastry.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the zucchini and sprinkle with crumbled goat cheese.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with additional salt and pepper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the egg is set and the top is golden.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
