Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with nonstick spray, then set aside.
  2. In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring occasionally until the milk solids turn golden brown.
  3. Lower the heat and add 6 cups of mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until fully melted and creamy.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour in the Rice Krispies along with the remaining marshmallows, mixing until the cereal is well coated.
  6. Carefully transfer the cereal mixture to the prepared baking pan.
  7. Spray a rubber spatula with nonstick spray and gently press the mixture into an even layer in the pan.
  8. Add a light sprinkle of sea salt on top.
  9. Let the Krispie treats cool to room temperature to set properly.
  10. Once set, cut the treats into squares for serving.

Notes

For best results, use unsalted butter and quality vanilla extract. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for freshness.
