Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in vanilla and eggs until well blended.
  3. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For chewier cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container.
